Exclude a specific app from being included in backup

Hi

I have a question regarding the back-up and reset.

I have a app /about connecting and managing a drone (Phantom 3) that went wrong from the beginning. The app decided that I was connecting to another type of Phantom model than the one I have. I have tried to install the app many times, but the wrong connection keeps coming up and I can’t unselect it.

The question:

If I back up everything and reset the phone to factory settings - how can I be sure NOT to get the same wrong Phantom-app back to the phone after installing the back-up? That is: how do I do to NOT select a single app in the restoring of the back-up?

Actually, I don’t know if that is possible. But you can delete all data and settings for the app in Settings -> Apps.
