Does the Fairphone have ethically mined Cobalt in the battery…?
Cobalt is dug up by children as young as four years old within the Dominion Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia. Big companies such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Tesla and Dell are being sued for complicity in the death and maiming of hundreds, if not thousands of African children who mine cobalt, for our benefit.
You won’t usually get Fairphone employees answering here – this is a user-run forum –, but you might not have seen Fairphone’s recent official statement on this issue yet:
