Hola, hace unos dias mi Fairphone se cayo al suelo y ya no ha vuelto a encender. Lo llevé a reparar y me dicen que no se puede porque “la placa base está muerta”. ¿Es eso posible? Gracias!

Hay #fairphoneangels volando, pero tal vez no en su sitio. En general, el teléfono se puede desmontar en su núcleo. IFixIt Muestra cómo hacerlo. Tal vez conoces a alguien que esté familiarizado con un simple destornillador philips.

Para comenzar, simplemente desmóntelo y vuelva a armarlo correctamente de nuevo. Además, no olvide cargar la batería. En
general, cuando está enchufado, el led superior izquierdo debe
aclararse (fijo) en rojo, y luego en amarillo cuando finalmente se pone
verde (lleno). No parece convincente haberlo roto en el núcleo con una sola gota. Principalmente hay un signo de vida.

There are #fairphoneangels flying around, but maybe not at your site. Generally the phone can be disassembled to it´s core. IFixIt shows how to. Maybe you know someone who is familiar with a simple philips screwdriver.
Yes, it´s yours to open - covered by warranty.
To start off just disassemble it and reassemble it properly again. Also do not forget to have the battery charged. Generally when plugged the top left led should lighten (solid) red, then somewhen yellow to finally green (full). It sounds not convincing to have broken it to the core with one drop. There is mostly a sign of life.

Pues suena algo raro, la verdad. El mío se ha caído varias veces y no le ha pasado nada, salvo pequeños rasguños (una vez se me cayó encima de un cancho).
¿Has probado a desmontarlo y volverlo a montar? Tienes un vídeo para hacerlo en YouTube o, como te ha enlazado arriba @Patrick1, una guía escrita por iFixit.
Otra pregunta. Si lo pones a cargar, ¿carga? ¿Se enciende algún LED?

Hoy lo he llevado a reparar a un sitio diferente que parece más serio, yo no me atrevo a desmontarlo como te enseñan en ifixit, soy un poco manazas… 
También he escrito al soporte en Fairphone, a ver si me dicen algo en algún sitio.

Te iba a decir lo del soporte, justo. Bien hecho. Aunque para que no te sorprendas te informo de que pueden tardar en responder hasta cuatro días. Tienen bastantes consultas y no dan abasto.

. Yo intentaría contactar con alguien cerca de donde vives, y ver si puede cambiar la batería o un par de piezas contigo y así asegurar que lo que falla es efectivamente eso, o quizá echarle imaginación y encontrar otra solución.

It´s new to me that someone says “Das klingt wie Chinesisch für mich” so I assume this again is more common in english-language regions.
Yeah! I understood your pun because I’ve recently read about that (relevant article in Spanish here). It seems to be common for a lot of languages to reference another for inintelligible things —hence my link to the graph connecting languages.
BTW, the Chinese-phrase is from Spanish-speaking people (like myself, ). I’ve added that to my former reply, to avoid misinterpretations. English-speaking people say “it’s Greek to me”, actually.
