Error message: battery overheated

Hello!

I’ve got FP I (U) and since several weeks I am regularly getting an error message saying: “battery overheated”. This does also happen, when it`s currently not in use and there are no computationally intensive apps running. If I open the case the battery does acutally not feel warm or hot, so I guess something might be wrong with this error message.

Does anyone know how to fix the Problem?

Are you currently in a region with low temperatures? Wrong overheat warnings have been reported before:

I think it could be one of these issues:

• like @Stefan said, if the Fairphone surrounding is very cold this message appears (in that case you can ignore this warning).
• test your battery if it is boated:
