I tried eco charging option but it still charges very fast. I think that this feature is not working as expected always.
I use 67W charger but prefer to charge 7.5W+ as I am never in hurry and I see many reports on this forum of mobile getting dead due to charging.
I could get some old charger but then I need to carry separate for my laptop and separate for the mobile.
Ideally will be if eco charge will always limit charging, possibly giving few options about the preferred power.
Can you give numbers?
In 37min from 5% to 82%
Eco charge set
Recent firmware
Xtorm 67W charger usb c
Anker 240W usb c cable
There ia another post assuming eco charge is not properly working. Please report to support
Edit: and can you check if you disable and reanable before charging that i works? Maybe reboots disable I without really resetting the setting?
Where should I report this to support?
In the fairphone app when I entered support there is only option for diagnosis and repair… Not simply report an issue
And in the app, Support > Contact us
Please do also take the time to read around the forum, and the Fairphone website.
I am trying to find a way but ending up in a dead end where none of the options are suitable and there is no “something else” option. Unfortunately I don’t have now time to try figuring out more how to submit this. Already 15min spent.
It is a bit disappointing it is so difficult to just submit an issue like this.
In the app if no other category allows you to say what you need to say, you can choose
- General feedback
- Something else
Both allow free subject field, description and file upload and of course you can link to this thread.
Done, thank you.
I also measured now, using USB device for displaying power that runs through, and it was 9.7V * 2.9A, which gives roughly 30W.
Not what one would expect from eco charging.
Definitely not. I’m not in a position to test since I have only 1A and 2A chargers and don’t need more, but from what others report there certainly appears to be a problem.
However in my experience Battery protect (max 80%) works.
EDIT - It might be worth proceeding as follows:
- turn the phone on if not already on
- start charging
- in Settings > Battery > Charging mode
- set Fast Charge
- then set Eco Charge.
It’s possible that the setting gets reset in some cases, without the change being visible.
I tested 3 charges and put the result in the other post where we refer to dead ones. Interesting values for me
Eco charge is not working for me. So sticking to my old Huawei charger.
Hi,
with the new update 15.151.0 I noticed, that the charging in eco-setting get’s now over 3h from 12% to 100%. Before, it was half the time for full charge.
It seems, they have been working on it.
