Ear modules often get disconnected

The headband connects the two ear modules via what looks like a regular USB C to USBC cable. When folding the headset or taking it off I must be paranoically careful, lest one of the ear modules gets disconnected and the whole set ceases to function. It will sometimes get to a state where the phone/laptop still sees the headset as connected via BT but audio on the headset is not functioning.

This is a daily cause of hassle for me, not anecdotal, otherwise I am very happy with my headset. I have tried to reeducate myself a bit, but at this point I think it is an important design flaw.

Can you check how loosely the respective connectors sit in their sockets? Iā€™m using my Fairbuds XL quite a lot and this literally never happened to me. All models I had in my hands so far had very tightly connected cables that are even hard to remove from the sockets when you want to.
Was it like this from the start? Could be a warranty case.
