Is Fairphone already engaging with the founders of /e/ OS?

Hi,
I recently read that Fairfone 2 is moving to Android 7.1 from Android 6 and wondered if it would be better to re imagine freedom on the OS too. Gael Duval the creator of Mandrake Linux and Ulteo is working on an alternative Phone OS to Android and iOS.
Are the Fairfone team engaging with Gael yet and I think this is a great opportunity considering a beta already exists and the /e/ foundation are looking for Hardware vendors.
