Double-tapping the ANC button: does it do anything?

So if you double-tap the ANC button on a Fairbux XL I hear a click. Indicating that something does happen but I cannot figure out what. I check the online guide and there is no mention of double-press or 2x pressing the ANC button does anything.

So, does it do anything?
