I have been getting the run around from “Fairphone Rea”, and it is abundantly clear I am conversing with a chatbot. I have a very simple request I would like to make, but this bot simply does not read what I am saying. And it is unnecessarily lengthening the support process.
This is the second time the bot is recommending I send the phone in to their service center, after I made it abundantly clear I would do so AFTER I first try reflashing the OS myself.
Is there some magic word that diverts the bot to an actual human? Some command? Other venues of contacting them?
There is no bot when you communicate via the online chat or other ways, you communicate with a person and those persons have to follow a process and yes that can be annoying as it feels they dont read what you wrote
So how do I get actual help from Fairphone that isn’t just shipping my phone away for 2 weeks for repairs?
How do I get answers for questions that only Fairphone support could answer?
Like whats the point of tech support people if they act like chatbots?
This here is a user forum, so we cant say anything further to this. When you are not happy with the answes you get, you would have to tell the support persons you are in contact with.
But what good does that do, if they don’t read what I am telling them?
Like I have specifically asked the support to review 2 support threads and the official instructions to reflashing the OS, to make sure if the instructions are clear, or if the instructions have some flaw, as someone who tried to do that had issues with it.
They could just tell me “hey, the instructions are ok, just follow them”, or of there is an issue, they could tell me what the issue was.
But if the tech support consistently ignores that, theres no resolution. The process does not work.
