Device with Bluetooth BLE 4.2 required and FP2

I need to connect a fitness band (Whoop) to my Fairphone 2. Bluetooth BLE 4.2 is required. Can I have problems with BLE 4.0?
Is there any way to solve?
Anyone to use Whoop here?
