Date settings additional month and layout

I am assuming the change came with the last update with the addition of M 11 to the date 12 Wed. Has anyone found a way of removing the M11 part of the display. I find it excessive information that I no longer need. There maybe many who have to use the international standard of YYYY/MM/ DD, and some that use MM/DD but I like many am used to DD/MM. 1ST world problems I know.

Where exactly do you see the date in this way? For me, it is on the lock screen and in the status bar as “lör 15 nov.” (swe) or “Sa., 15. Nov.” (deu).

Morning, not the lock screen but in the pull down status bar which leads to shortcut menu (eg do not disturb/ torch controls).

Here? Well. I can’t find a way to adjust it quickly.

Edit: I just changed the home time zone, but that doesn’t change the date format.

This seems to be changeable only via the system language. When I change to “English (USA)”, the date format changes accordingly. When I switch back to “German” or “Swedish”, I return to the display formats customary in those languages. In the “Regional settings”, I can only find the unit for temperature and the setting for the first day of the week.

Regards, Michael

Exactly at this point, but getting a screenshot of it was beyond my capabilities!! Will try the language change to see what happens. Thanks

Changed to USA English and checked date format, changed back and woo hoo starts with DD not MM

Thank you

Thank you! Switching system language from Swedish to USA English and back again to Swedish, worked for me as well.

Strangely, it also fixed the color of the settings icon, which had been stuck in an old color scheme.
