I cant find the “Contact groups” in my Fairphone Open Contact app. On my old phone with LineageOS, I think that was a tab in the contact app, on my new Phone, it isn’t there (see screenshot).
Where do I have to look for it?

In a different app. Unfortunately the standard contacts app of Android 6 doesn’t have it.
Oh! That’s a pity. Is there any resource for recommendations of contact apps (with groups) that do not give away all the information I give them?
I don’t know of any, but you can change to Lineage OS to have the groups back.
I’d prefer not to change the OS just to get another app. It can’t be then.
Can you recommend one?
I’d find contact groups quite useful.
thanks
I’m using Lineage OS and am quite happy with the pre-installed app there.
Alright, thanks anyway
I am not a heavy “contacts” user, but you should give Contacts from fdroid a try (in the fdroid app it’s listed as “Simple Contacts”).
It’s a simple and easy contacts manager - for storing contacts local only - and groups are featured as well.
Oh wow cool, that’s new! Before the last update Simple Contacts didn’t have groups yet.
Great, great, great!! This is exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you!
