Did you make sure your cable is a (4 threaded) data cable and not just for charging?
Anyways you should try as many different cables as you can get a hold of.

I have the same problem, none of my available cables (1) works properply. Im thinking of buying the cable from Fairphone, but they only sell a cable labeled unter ‘FP1’ Does anybody know if this cable is compatible with the FP2?

Thank you for your answers. The problem is the cable. I have check all my cables an one of four works. So i think there are different cables!
