Can't connect to 5G or 4G outside /e/OS

Hello, I have a Fairphone 6 /e/OS Murena. . I have a problem with the switch between wifi and 5G. I am in the Netherlands and use KPN as provider. My APN is KPN 4g LTE. When I am out of my home I don’t connect with 5G and 4g.

As the name of the APN already says it’s 4G. You can’t connect to 5G with these APN-settings.

Look at this page with the APN settings for KPN..

Thank you Lidwien, I switched the preferred network to 4g.

Lidwien I opened the page from KPN but it is about eSim. I have a Sim card. Is there anything I don’t understand?

Just try it. And if it doesn’t work, use the settings of the APN for Fairphone 4 at KPN.

Dear Lidwien, I am so happy because it worked. Your first option ( e-sim) I didn’t follow up. For me that option brings me, at this moment, to much uncertainties. Maybe it is a fear of cold but for me the step to the fairphone 6 /e/OS Murena is enough challenging for the moment. I followed the APN for Fairphone 4 for KPN. Narurally not everything was the same as my F6. I had to fill in by APN-protocol and bij roaming protocol voor APN: IPv4/IPv6. Thanks a lot, Betsie
