Can you remove android 10 from FP3 and reinstall android 9

Would like to install /e/ OS but have Android 10 on FP3. Can I reset to factory settings, or remove Android 10, and reinstall Android 9?

You can directly go from Fairphone OS Android 10 to /e/OS if you closely follow the instructions, but beware that /e/OS is currently still on Android 9 and only supports the old FP3 camera modules so far. The /e/ developers and community are currently working on upgrading /e/OS to Android 10:

/e/ Foundation outlining their roadmap for /e/OS on the FP3 and the FP3+ – key points: Android 10 /e/OS to be tested this month (September) and planned for official release by the end of October 2020. The new FP3 & FP3+ camera modules will not be supported on /e/ before the release of Android 10 /e/OS. Easy Installer (developed by @Ingo ) to be released “very soon”.
