Hi, I started using my /e/OS FP Gen6 in March. I’m doing pretty fine, using alternatives when due. But I have got a few issues that are hard to circumvent.
Specifically for the Camera App: I like doing timelapses, but the stock camera app doesn’t really have many options.
If you go to Time Lapse and hit the settings icon, you can basically only set Flash and Speed. No options for resolution or fps. Moreover, the speed settings are pretty strict: either 15x, 30x or 90x.
I understand suggesting typical times. But why not allowing anything else?
I tried looking for other apps on fdroid but I have trouble finding any, the only app I found has a lot of options but doesn’t let me see the preview while recording, which is a good option to save battery for long sessions, not for my casual timelapse use.
My second issue is after making photos or videos. You typically want to jump directly to the gallery to see the photos you just took. Well, for the stock gallery app (org.lineageos.glimpse) you get to see the very last photo/video, but you cannot see anything else. I’m not talking about the privacy lock of photos taken in other sessions, as this applies even to an unlocked phone.
I actually use another gallery app, Fossify (org.fossify.gallery). It works fine by itself, but if I use it from the camera app from the locked-phone state, it makes me unlock and then the app halts for seconds before it loads the photo.
