I’m new to this community but have had my fair phone 6 sind October last year. Among other issues such as the touch display not working properly at times I have one major issue: my camera cannot connect to the system. It first happened in February and I thought it was a one time issue but it has happened again and again.
My phone runs on Android 14 and I don’t remember there being an update before it first happened.
Sometimes restarting the phone once helps solve it. Sometimes I need to restart my phone up to 5 times before the connection is reset. It’s especially annoying because the flashlight cannot be activated until the camera works again because the phone “thinks” the camera is used the whole time. When I open it I only get a black screen though. And that happens on any app that uses the camera, it’s not specific to the camera app. One time it happened I heard a clicking sound but I generally think it’s a software issue or maybe a loose contact since the camera works sometimes.
Unfortunately I couldn’t contact the official support yet because the language always gets changed to dutch whenever I try and I can’t turn it back. I don’t speak Dutch.
I didn’t find a discussion with the same issue on here but maybe someone else had this too and solved it on their own or knows how to fix it. Thanks in advance
