I found another manufacturer/sales shop who tailors individual sleeves.
I got me a cork sleeve tailored for my e-reader. Fits and feels quite smooth.
I have one too now (a case from Bark). Very nice - though I had to enlarge the opening for the USB cable quite a bit in order for it to accomodate my best charger (a laptop charger). Nothing a Dremel cannot handle 
(or a pocket knife, for that matter).
Highly recommended.
Their care suggestion bears mentioning: if the case would fall and break, just glue it back together with white wood glue. Wood for the win!
