Backup made but restore impossible

I have reinstalled the Fairphone image on my phone and I want to restore my backup from the Andoird settings menu. There is no restore button.

My phone did not run other software.
No unlocked bootloader.
Same account.
Same phone.
Same version Android.

There just is no button, I can see the backup, but no way to actually restore it.

Is this just a placeholder for a feature or is there some way to restore the backup

Apparently the restore has to be done when doing the new device setup by choosing “Copy data from old phone” and then choosing backup. It should ask you to sign in to Google and then you can restore.

You can either factory reset the phone and do the above or get an app like Activity Launcher or similar to search for and launch “.D2dWizardManager”. That seems to be the restore application.
