Auto screen brightness doesn't work in low light again (Android 14 Update)

i was already typing that it did fix the issue permanently.

only still experience issues, like the old constantly jumping up and down in very specific lighting (bit dark room and a light window behind me for example).
the screen being to bright anyway (settings telling 0).

meanwhile its much better than before the reset…

… decided als we speek to test again, and turned of all the lights, im sure my phone was still going to 0 before, i think it was yesterday i dit checked it last time.
now it stuk on 33%, pushing it back, 0 again. lock and un lock. still 0 oke fine nice nothing wrong. 10 sec. an beemd bak to 33 in one stap…

and dit the reset again and its 0 again :slightly_smiling_face:.

long story short the problem dit come back after 2 weeks.

repeating te reset solved it again.

will see how long it will take from now on.

Yes, please contactsupport they prioritize issues based on the incoming tickets. FP6 might be worked on in the near future, so usually that could mean that the older models become less of a priority. So the best time to report it is now.

Unfortunately, the issue returned after a few hours of usage.

The phenomena, T4om observed (jumping brightness) also occured for me: Using the FP for navigation in my car at night, the brightness started to “jump” whenever the slightest brightness changes occur.

First idea was to create a task with tasker, which deletes the adaptive brightness settings every few hours. Due to a lack of knowledge, I discarded that idea.

Second guess: I am trying this (slightly old) app GitHub - Android Auto Brightness
