The audio output becomes poor as soon as the screen of the Fairphone 4 goes black. Any tips?
Output from what exactly? Internal speakers? Or external Bluetooth devices? Have you tried another device to see if you can reproduce this? I don’t have this issue by the way.
I have the problem with all sound devices. As soon as the screen goes into sleep mode, the sound gets choppy.
Strangely, this also happens when I change the app on which the sound is currently playing.
Maybe exclude the music app you are using from battery optimisation? (it’s a permission in the Apps settings control panel).
Maybe check with an alternative music player? Then it’s probably not Fairphone related if it works fine with something else.
Thank you, it is duckduckgo which is causing the problem. Alternative players work.
