Over the last week I’ve been seeing “Android System Intelligence keeps stopping” error messages multiple times a day. I have no idea what’s triggered this as I’ve made no hardware or software changes to my phone. I installed FP5.VT2P.C.089.20260311 this morning which has made no difference.
I’ve only seen vague things about what this app does so I’m not sure where to start. Has anyone else seen this issue, or know how to start debugging it?
Interesting. Could be related? I stuck LogFox on it and it seems to be consistently OOM-killed:

It seems to happen more often when I’m typing (twice when typing this post) with SwiftKey. Might try a different keyboard to see if that affects it.
Actually, I’m about 75% sure these messages started when I switched on “Disable child process restrictions” to try to mitigate Android killing backgrounded apps - see FP5: Android 15 killing background apps more aggressively which seems to be a memory management issue.
However since installing the latest OS which included the background process fix and switching off process restrictions I’m still getting errors.
@MorayM, thanks! Can you share a URI to the Buganizer ticket, here? BTW, in case you haven’t, definitely include a URI to the private ZD ticket somewhere in the Buganizer thread, for Google’s engineers to ask FP about.
This error is actually very common. Alternatively, you can try clearing the cache or data for Android System Intelligence or uninstalling its update. Since in most cases, it is a buggy update and not something you changed.
