Android auto does not start with fairphone

Dear community,
I have problems that android auto does not starts after connecting my Fairphone…
I connect the Fairphone via usb cable in my car and I expect that the android auto application starts, but it does not. I used another Samsung android mobile and connected it with the same cable. The android auto application starts after 5-10 seconds on the screen of my car. I also checked it with an iPhone and a “lightning-usb-cable” and this also works perfectly. So, from a car perspective everything seems to be OK. ON the Fairphone I have the latest android 13 version. In the settings I checked all “android auto” settings and I can not see sometihing special. Also I tried with the button “Connect car” but nothing happens on he screen of the car.
What I realized on the mobile phone, that after connecting the cable there is a message “battery loading” or something similar and after 3 seconds the message is “disconnected”. So, I tried another cable and there I have the same situation. But both cables work with my other Samsung android.
Do you have an idea?
Many thanks
Best regards
Ekhard

Given that Android Auto works with the same cable but a different phone to me it sounds a bit like there might be a problem with the USB port on your FP4. Before trying to replace it, maybe it’s an idea to try and clean dirt/dust from the port.
In general the FP4 should work well with Android Auto. At least that’s my experience with different rental or carsharing cars.

Not sure if it matters, but what brand is your car? I remember that there used to be problems connecting FP3 and FP4 with Ford Sync in the past but IIRC that was with simple Bluetooth and not Android Auto.
