Access the multitasking screen without using the Home button

Hello and Happy New Year!

I have a Fairphone 1 and I find sometimes difficult to open the multitasking screen in order to close running apps. The reason is that a long press on the Home button is not always easy to perform.
Do you know a mean to open the multitasking screen without using the Home button? For instance through a shortcut on the launcher or through a dedicated app (open-source would be the icing on the cake)?

You can do that e.g. with the XPosed Module Gravity Box.
