Well, this time Jitsi didn’t like us at all. We had a group of eleven Fairphoners – from Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Italy – all arriving right after 19:00 h. Yet the tech proved a hurdle (mostly lack of coherent sound) unsolvable for quite a couple of us this time. Eventually most of us were still able to follow @Volker’s presentation (PDF 467,3 KB) though and try him with all sorts of questions. Thanks a lot to Volker for not just providing us with the presentation and being available for all sorts of questions, but also for standing in for me as a host when I myself wasn’t able to communicate with the group for most of the first hour.
I am really sorry for those who were not able to follow the presentation and ensuing discussion tonight. I already contacted two of you to offer a smaller, (hopefully) more fluent session when it suits you so I might be able to make up for the lack of information for you tonight. If I have overlooked any of you who missed out despite showing up, please get in touch with me so I can include you in my offer.
And I promise I will make sure to have backup options next time.
