Interesting and a commendable effort.
But you can easily avoid breaking cables by using magnetic adapters in the USB port and on the cables.
If a cable gets into a situation where it would overly bend, the magnetic connection will just disconnect and the cable will not get any stress. Additionally this relieves the USB port of any stress, too, so the port doesn’t break as easily as under repeated strain or with many connects and disconnects.
